Migrate to Austin

    Question

  • Hello.

I have already developed StreamInsight application.

There are two adapters (Input and Output):

Input adapter connects to the message decoder via TCP and receive messages for stream engine.

Output adapter get requests with queries from the client (MVC 4 application) via TCP and pass them in the stream engine as well.

I'm trying to move whole my system (except of message decoder) to the coud. I haven't had problems with MVC and got connection between cloud and message decoder using Azure connect.

I've tried Austin sample application and it works well, but I still haven't found good way to reimplement and deploy my adapter-based application. When I try to deploy my app in usual way  (using Visual Studio) I get FileNotFoundException for  Microsoft.ComplexEventProcessing.dll assembly. When I try to do it like in example - I can't see activity in the cloud and can't use common debug tools.

Can I do it without big modifications in existing software?

Is in possible to deploy Austin - based applications via Visual Studio?

    Thank you.

  • Hi Alex,

It's been a while since I've worked with it so I'm sure a lot has changed but there was a separate deploy process ... you couldn't deploy from Visual Studio.
