  • I have finally gotten Sql2005 Standard 32bit to load and install, but it won't allow me to sign in.  I tried creating an account and using Windows Authentication but to not avail.  I double checked the setting I have on my Blade to make sure I didn't miss something and they are identical.

I think Windows 7 may have some significant compatibility issues.

  • I'm not sure, you enable these Windows features first:

    Common HTTP Features

    • Static Content
    • Default Document
    • HTTP Redirection
    • Directory Browsing

    Application Development

    • ASP.Net
    • ISAPI Extension
    • ISAPI Filters

    Security

    • Windows Authentication

    IIS6

    • IIS 6 WMI
    • IIS Metabase

    Preferably SP3

  • What did you do to get the install to work? I've tried both 32bit and 64bit setup -- I'm just trying the workstation tools option, and it craps out with a generic error everytime. Any advice to get the install to complete would be most helpful. Thx!
