I have wiped my 2005 installation clean off of my workstation and am attempting to install 2008 RTM. I get the main screen to come up but when I choose to perform a stand alone installation it throws the following error. BTW, this is media I copied form our network share down to my C:\. I cannot find any info on how to correct this
SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error:
The folder 'D:\sql2008\PCU' you specified is not valid for PCUSOURCE input setting. Specify a valid folder
Error code 0x84B40000
I do not have a D:\ (it is my CDROM) so I am not sure where it is pulling this setting from, but I am dead in the water until I get this resolved.
Please help if you have any information to get me back up and running
Can you please post values from DefaultSetup.ini file in c:\SQL Source?
Or Alternatively check following Blog http://johndelizo.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!5686721B6E7BA618!2310.entry?wa=wsignin1.0&sa=745514009 to create above file with dummy value.
Hope this helps.
That is where it is finding it. What should I change it to? I am not sure what the ramification is for this setting
Here is what is in my file
