Reporting service issue:- A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the SQL Server Reporting Services (MSSQLSERVER) service to connect.
Reporting service was down in one of the server and I had restarted the services but it was not coming up. It was failing with below error
A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the SQL Server Reporting Services (MSSQLSERVER) service to connect.
To resolve this issue, I have increased the time-out value for service startup process by 60000 and restated the server and services came back.
Now would like to know below things
1) Why we need to increase the time-out value and why earlier configuration/setting was not sufficient ?<u1:p></u1:p>
2) Is any patching have any bug which cause above issue?<u1:p></u1:p>
Thanks for your reply..but if its 30 second was short how my services was running initially.
but after patching it went down and when I restarted it never came up and I had to increase the time-out value.
