  • Hi,

Can you check Add / Remove programs, and see if Microsoft SQL Server Native Client is listed? If so, uninstall it, and then try installing the Management tools again.

  • Hello,

Please try to download and install .NET Framework 3.5 with SP1 included from the following link:

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=25150

Once you install .NET Framework with SP1, try to run SQL Server 2008 setup again.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hello,

If SQL Server setup did not stop you from installing it and it installed successfully, then do not worry.

    Hope this helps.

Once you install SQL Server Native Client, please try to run SQL Server setup again.

Make sure you are not running setup on a compress or encrypted drive.
