HELP!...Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80004005.

    Question

  • Some history first...I want to create a Managed stored procedure for SQL 2005 (Note: this is my first time doing this) with

    VB.NET 2005.

I reference and use a COM (vb6 ActiveX DLL) within my assembly. I compiled it and registered the assembly with SQL using the

CREATE ASSEMBLY command and created the stored procedure with the CREATE PROCEDURE...EXTERNAL NAME command.

I then try to use the store procedure and get the following error:

A .NET Framework error occurred during execution of user defined routine or aggregate 'CalcWipQtyRec':
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID {613F6B03-1668-49A4-B709-8DC17FE78C0E} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80004005.
    System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException:
       at MobileIMFunctions.clsIMFunctions.CalcWipQtyRec(String JobNo).

I have no idea what is going on here or how to fix it. I have tried googling for this and only find things related to Outlook.

    Somebody please help?
