  • Hi
    I am configuring SharePoint form Based Authentication for my clients internet site where users can authenticate through the sql DB. I am running windows server 2008, SharePOint 2007, WSS 3.0, SQL 2008 and Visual Studio 2005. I had followed this article to configure FBA on the server : http://www.andrewconnell.com/blog/articles/HowToConfigPublishingSiteWithDualAuthProvidersAndAnonAccess.aspx , 

    all is well till the time i sign in on the internet site, it throughs an error msg for which I have benn trying very hard to sole it still no luck. the error msg im getting is:

    A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.
