I am opening this thread but w.r.t. SP 2010 (SP1 + Dec 2012 CU) and SQL 2012 as my database running on a different VM.
I have created a SP 2010 (SP1 + Dec 2012 CU) web-app which uses claims authentication (FBA) with default zone and Windows Claims (Intranet zone), so doesn’t use classic mode authentication.
I created a simple PowerPivot file and uploaded the PowerPivot Gallery library and tried to access it, I can render it without an issue, not sure if this is supposed to work? Do we support claims now with SP1+Dec CU
on SP 2010 for PowerPivot and classic mode is not the only required option anymore?
Sorry folks, seems like the workbook gets displayed on first render but if we try to refresh the data or try some interactive actions, it doesn’t work on claims based authentication (as mentioned in technet, no support for claims):
