Insert Silverlight Video Into Expression Web 4

    Question

  • So i am trying to insert my videos into expression web 4 so i go to insert / insert silverlight video and the Encoder pops up and asks me a serious of questions but the new On Load feature has me confused. I want my video to be paused on the first screen when the page loads so i picked on load "ShowVideoPaused" this obviously would seem correct but that does not do the job. The video plays when the pages is loaded. what do i need to do to show the video as paused when the page is loaded

    Part 2

    I picked the frosted gallery template so i had area to add multiple videos, but im not sure how I insert my other videos into this video player can anyone help with this problem.

  • Hi,

    Does it have a property such as AutoPlay and set it to false?   Otherwise, you can set it in code behind.

    You can add multi players in the sample page.

    I too have been trying to figure this out.  Here is what I have found. After loading the first video select the object (click on the box that should be where the video will be) and look at the code that is highleted in the split view.

    Should look like this:

    <object data="data:application/x-silverlight-2," type="application/x-silverlight-2" width="720" height="480">
    <param name="source" value="silverlightvideos/FrostedGalleryTemplate.xap"/>
    <param name="background" value="white" />
    <param name="minRuntimeVersion" value="4.0.50401.0" />
    <param name="autoUpgrade" value="true" />
    <param name="enableHtmlAccess" value="true" />
    <param name="enableGPUAcceleration" value="true" />
    <param name="initparams" value='playerSettings =

    <EnablePopOut>true</EnablePopOut>
    <StartMuted>false</StartMuted>

    </a>
    </object>

    If you look at the code you will see the tag Items and the tag playlist.  If you have already made the video into a silverlight compatable format (.wmv) then drop the video into the silverlight folder.  Once the video is in the silverlight folder copy the playlist code and paste it below the other playlist code but above the item end tag.  That will add a second video into the player. BUT You now have to change the target on the pasted code to the other video. Then you will see two video's in the same player. Repeat as needed to add more.

    This is what it should look like with added video: I bolded the name of the video so you can see where it is.
