    Question

  • just a quick question here...ive noticed the application bar buttons do not have a tap event, should i be writing handlers for tap or will the click event accomplish the same thing?

  • Hi. You should use the click event, that is the way to detect when the user taps on the application bar buttons.

  • You don't need to use the tap event for this and manually determine when the user interacts with a button. Think of the click events as convenient events that spare you the work of detecting taps and doing the hit testing etc. - so yes, the click event is what you should use for all kinds of buttons.
