we have a Silverlight 4 application that uses Isolated Storage to store local files. The URL is not secure.
We are attempting to switch/force SSL on the URL and it appears that the Silverlight application looks at the https URL as a different endpoint and requires the users to re-sync content to the isolated storage.
Is there a way to not have Silverlight view the https URL as a separate endpoint and use the same Iso Storage for both http and https address?
The Silverlight plugin "owns" the Isolated Store location and uses the URI of the application when building this path. Since schema is a component of the URI, the HTTP and HTTPS addresses are unique to each other and there's no way to have Silverlight use
a different store. If you think about the security implications of being able to have any level of control from the application side over the location of the store it make sense even if it is inconvenient for your current need.
