Silverlight 3D Carousel

  • Hi,

I've been trying to create a 3D Carousel for delivery via web and haven't had any luck. Unfortunately, I'm not really a coder and have been trying numerous solutions.

    1. I got the Blendables 3D Carousel solution working fairly well, but found out that it's WPF, and I don't have the mad skills to convert it into WPFE or if that's even possible.

    2. I've also tried using Popfly, but I'm unsure as to how I can change the framework of the objects and how I can also grab the code/files to post externally.

    3. I've downloaded both of the files for Dan Whalin's carousel ( but this too is way beyond my skill set of trying to extract what I need.

Basically I'm looking for a carousel similar to this one done it flash ( Simple rotation and rollover states that take you to another page when clicked.

Does anyone know of any other resources to draw from that aren't so code centric or is there a template out there that one can use to insert images into and change basic code. Remember, I'm a designer, haha, so C# and even some javascript are a little beyond the scope of my knowledge. So using a program like blend might work, but it seems like they don't support events in the latest release. Otherwise, I might just hand animate it and hack something together since the solution I'm looking for is pretty basic.

Thanks for any help you might be able to give.

  • Silverlight does not support 3D so there is not good way to convert it.
