Multiple copies of controls in the Toolbox

    Question

  • All,

I recently went back to work on a simple Silverlight 4 project, and found that only the Common Silverlight Controls were showing up in the Toolbox. I did a Toolbox reset, and now I have 4 or more copies of many tools, in several different tabs. Needless to say, this makes finding the right control a bit tricky. I have the Mindscape SilverlightElements library installed, and that seems to be where the bulk of the extra controls came from. How do I get rid of all the extra controls, and why did I end up with multiples in the first place?

    Using Visual Studio 2010 Pro.

  • You can do it in two ways

    1. Create your own group in the Toolbox and add your fav controls in the group

    2. On the toolbox right click and select "Choose Items" Then choose toolbox item window popup. In that you uncheck the item u dont want to display
