  • In a canvas put a rectangle. On that rectangle put a textbox.Handle the mouseleftbutton down event for that textbox.Thats it.

This canvas will act as tooltip

  • You can't use tooltip because you can't go over a it with the mouse.

You should create your own tooltip.

A Usercontrol with what you want (link, button...) and when you MouseEnter a control you add an instance of your Usercontrol in your page and you display it according to mouse position.

  • UserControl solution is perfect in your scenario where you want to customize its look and feel.

  • Hi,

You can try to use the ToolTipService class to display a tooltip for the control, which provides some formatting properties to customize the look of the tooltip, such as Background, FontSize, FontWeight, Foreground etc.

You can try to refer this link : http://www.silverlightshow.net/items/Using-the-ToolTip-control-in-Silverlight-2.aspx

Can I nest a Button in the ToolTip control and use its Click event?
As far as I tried – no. The Click event is not raised and the animation freezes on button down. This applies not only to the Button controls and their Click event, but to the other controls too. I recommend using static controls such as the Image control, the StackPanel, the TextBlock and etc. when nesting something in the ToolTip control.
