How to get a list of all the site column groups in Sharepoint ?

    Question

  • I am creating a functionality where all the site columns in the site are to be displayed on a page.
I need to filter the site columns displayed, based on the groups they belong to ( SharePoint default or user defined).
The page will have a drop down where user selects a group & based on it the grid will show the site columns in that group.

I am unable to get a list of all the site column groups through object model. Any help on this will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Deepti.
