How to draw Architecture diagram

  • Hi,

    We have Sharepoint 2003 farms, any Microsoft tool available to draw the architecuture diagram for the existing environment.

    Microsoft Visio is best tool. Apart from that even Visual Studio 2008 also has Architecture design templates for diagram. In VS 2010 you get Modeling tools which are also useful in UML Modeling.

  • For SharePoint 2010, I'd recommend using the Technical Diagrams in Visio format that are available from Microsoft at:

    SharePoint Foundation 2010 - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee806874.aspx

    SharePoint Server 2007 - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263199%28office.12%29.aspx

     

    These should provide you for a good starting point of ideas for a 2003 based environment.
