SharePoint2010 - Way to exclude "DispForm.aspx" - files in searchresult for anonymous user.

    Question

  • Hi,

we are standing short of our first release of a sharepoint based website.

Unfortunately the searchresults are still contain "DispForm.aspx" files for anonymous users, so everytime someone will try to open this certain result the authentication window appears, although we disabled authentication for anonymous users. Have anybody an idea how to get rid of this issue?

We simply don't want that any authentication appears!

Thank you very much for your help

  • Hi,

SharePoint already provided the security trimming function. if the searchers have no access to the documents, they will be trimmed from search results.

If the documents searchers have no access to are visible to them, it should be based on the old crawling and indexing. Please re-crawl and check it again.

  • You can also add content class rule to your scrop to exclude items. Below is the MSDN article with list of content classes you can use to limit result:

  • Hi,

The problem is anonymous user has read permission for list item but not for the display form. So the results continue to appear in search and can not be clicked by anonymous users to open the dispform.
