Faulting application w3wp.exe

    Question

  • In a SharePoint 2010 environment, I got these errors below, and I don't know what exactly may be causing the issue, I searched online and I found this http://community.spiceworks.com/windows_event/show/13-application-error-1000?height=100%25&iframe=true&width=100%25 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/967227

but I don't know if it is really the fix or something else

    In IIS LOGS:

A process serving application pool 'SharePoint - 80' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was '2372'. The data field contains the error number.

  • This is going to require creating a user mode dump and using windbg to figure out why it is crashing.  I'd suggest contacting PSS.
