How do i make a look like gridview

  • how can i make a grid view like control using spdesigner 2010, i want it to look like gridview in .net not like a view of sharepoint list.

  • Both the xsltview (list view) and dataform view give you plenty of options to customize the look and feel of the results grid. You can use either depending on your needs (display only or data entry as well). You do this from the dataview tools on the ribbon (better to experiment before modifying production page!)

  • You can add a real .net application page if you want but need to change settings to allow code to be added to the page and this is not recommended, so options are either to use SPD and customize views or write your own xsl or deploy a solution.

    Some use a page viewer to reference a ,net app page. I believe there is also a hack for master pages (messing with config files).
