Increase the width of quick launch bar (left nav)

  • Hi, could anyone tell me how and where to make the change to increase the width of left nav area in order to accommodate with larger font size i.e 12 pt?

  • I suggest you create your own style sheet to make the width change. 

     

    Also, you can change the image width at the bottom of the navigation in the master page.  Look for the PlaceHolderNavSpacer and just change the width there. I have tested that, but have not used it on an actual site.  I prefer using the CSS method.

  • You need to change the width of the placeholder in the default.master. Don't remember the name of PlaceHolder exactly but I guess it was PlaceHolderLeftNav.
