Alert Me in Sharepoint 2013 error

    Question

  • Hello:

     when i configure one alert me in one list this error is showed :

    Sorry, something went wrong

    You do not have an e-mail address.
    Alert has been created successfully but you will not receive notifications until valid e-mail or mobile address has been provided in your profile

    Y edit my profile , but not  see the email field.

     Can help me?

    • Does the account you are using have an email address in Active Directory?
    • Which edition do you have? Foundation or Standard/Enterprise or maybe Office 365?
    • If Enterprise, have you configured User Profile Serivces and setup syncronization?

     how see the edition (Standard or Enterprise ) for Sharepoint?.

    I'm sure it's not Office 365.

    About tha first question, shall ask the administrator if the mails are configured in Active Directory accounts.

    Need determinate what versión is, for configured have you configured User Profile Serivces and setup

    syncronization

    .

    How see the versión?

  • You can ask the admin who is maintaining the AD server.

    you can version details from central Admin > Manage servers in the Farm under system settings.
