I have used the OOB Approval Task and trying to customize some parts of the OOB Workflow.
Here's what I am looking to customize.
- When the "Edit Task" form is opened in Infopath under "default" view need to add link to the Workflow history page. (Just above the buttons)
- On "Request Change" view of the form need to make the "Request" field to be able to take Rich Text where in the user can enter some code. Right now when special characters are entered it converts to HTML or makes it blank. Need to show all the code. Other (best) option is to allow attachment so user will be able to attach txt file.
- On "Request Change" view on click of "Send" button need to send the feedback to a person column defined on the document library associated with the workflow. In our case the Initiator is not necessarily the Author. DocAuthor is a column in the Document Library which actually holds the value of the document author to whom the change request needs to be sent.
I have so far been able to open the Edit task form in infopath and tried to add Workflow history URL to the "default" view and published the form and it works without any error. But when I publish the workflow I get error saying the form is customized and cannot be published.
Please let me know whether the customizations I am looking for are allowed on the Task form generated by the Sharepoint Designer. If so, please let me know how to achieve this.
