Office 365 APIs Preview

Office 365 APIs extend the Office 2013 platform through REST APIs and standard OAuth flows so that websites and native applications running on Windows 8, iOS, Android, and other device platforms can consume Office 365 data.

It's much simpler to write code for the Office apps store because we get to use the skills we already have being web native developers. And that means we can reach every version of Office from here on out with the same code that we already write for all major web browers.

Export to database failed. To export a list, you must have a Windows SharePoint Services-compatible application

    السؤال

  • While trying to create "Access view" for SharePoint list I am getting"Export to database failed. To export a list, you must have a Windows SharePoint Services-compatible application" and closing the opened Access 2007.

I have Access 2007 (Office 2007 enterprise trial version)  and WINDOWS XP Operating System on my system.

Any inputs are appreciated to overcome from above problem to create "Access view" to a sharePoint list.

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

What version is your WSS or SharePoint server? How about Windows XP’s version?

Did you install Office 2003 before you install Office 2007? If so, please try to use the methods mentioned in the following article to fix the issue:

You cannot create a new document or check out an existing document in a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 document library when you have multiple versions of Office installed

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929360

To create a view of a SharePoint list, you need the Windows SharePoint Services Manage Lists permission, which, by default, is included in the Design permission level.
