Requirements for Load and performance testing VS 2010

Question

Hi, I know I can probably find this information somewhere, but I need this answered first before I can further my investigation.

We have a client that would like to load and performance test their web app.  Could someone please tell me what the requiremenst are to do this?

I have licensed a VS 2010 MSDN Ultimate. We would like to load test for about 200 users in a distributed enviroment.

Do each of these computers require a VS Ultimate license?  Or do I only need ultimate to create and capture results of Test Controllers?  (Controllers are what is installed on client machines?)

I would like to know this befire I recomend this approach to the client so I can further research requirements.

Hi,

- VS 2010 MSDN Ultimate would entitle you to use Web Performance Test and Load Test functionality. 

- You can download the visual studio load test license and enter the key on the test controller and run a load of unlimited users. 

- You need visual studio ultimate to create/record the tests, these tests do not have to run through visual studio, you can set up test lists and then trigger these tests using the command line (tcm) as well. 

- You can start with a topology where you have one test controller and several test agents, you can use the test wizard to configure the test to be run in a distributed environment.
