sql server one way mirroring

Question

trying to set the database mirroring as in one way in sql server management studio

lets say Primary A, could only changes difference to Mirror B

but Mirror B couldnt changes difference to Primary A

Hi,

A SQL mirror session is one way. The principal sends updates to the mirror. If a failover (either manual or automatic) occurs then the new principal will send updates to the new mirror. Only the principal can make changes to the mirror not the other way around.

Adding to what sean already pointed out: The mirror server is read only (in SQL 2012) and not readable at all in SQL 2008R2 and earlier. So you can't even make changes there if you wanted to. If you need to change the mirror without affecting the primary then database mirroring is not the solution you are looking for. Replication most likely would be...
