hello my friends

first thank you Dan and Daniel for great help in " need a little help 1"

in fact they do a lot of effort to help me to execute my database that was included a lot of bugs and finally it works

well ,now i want to upload it to my windows hosting plan that is in :

http://www.m2host.com/

and my domain is:

http://www.altraders.com/

i want to upload my database to http://www.altraders.com/

so what should i do ???

well, i have a web application contans a database i want to put it in my hosting plan which is windows

Dan and Daniel helped me to extract the database in my computer

now i want to upload it to my domain and my hosting plan

is it called windows starter or "Web Starter" ?

the product page mentions 1 MS Sql included in Web Starter but you don't find any information about MS SQL on this hoster.

Please contact m2host for info about uploading and setting up MS Sql database with "Web Starter" product.

you need to know how you've to setup the connect string.

eg. if it is a standard sql with initial catalog and data source or if it is a SQL Express using AttachDBFilename etc.

they ask me about the name of the database

like everybody else we've a daily job and only a limited spare time and sometimes peoples are not online for a few days for various reasons.

If you read the introduction to this forum you'll see that this forum is not a support forum by Microsoft where you can expect to get support always. Most people here answers your question on a voluntary base and do not get paid for it.

If you really need urgent support you need to contact the Microsoft Support Hotline and probably pay for it and than you can expect an answer within certain times.

well, i  solved it, i found the files in the directory of the data base

you should not just copy the .mdf and .ldf found in the directory of data base.

if you need those files (.mdf & .ldf) you need first to detach the database otherwise files are locked and can't be copied away or - if you stopped the SQL Server instance - are in an inconsistent state probably as transaction may be open etc.

not really, he just needs to read the documentation for AJAXControl toolkit and the information how to deploy it to a ASP.NET site.

As the hosting provider is using .NET 4 it should be sufficient to copy the required AJAXControl toolkit assembly (.DLL) to the APP_BIN folder. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc295391.aspx

@Anup, I agree that this problem is not really a topic for a SQL Server forum anymore.

If you've a enough powerfull computer, setup a VM (virtual machine) with Windows Server 2008R2 & SQL Server Express 2008R2 & ASP.NET (.NET 3.5/4) and do the initial testing on this VM - it saves you a lot of time. If you don't have access the Windows Server 2008R2 by any Microsoft subscription programs you can still download one of the Windows Server 2008R2 trial edition and install it or just downloaded the VHD with a preconfigured Windows Server 2008R2 trial edition.

if this is the version you've uploaded to your web hoster than it probably fails in the login.aspx as the connect string points to a different server than you web page.

probably you main/biggest problem is the support of your hosting provider to setup the SQL database and connect it in your ASP.net appliation.
