Access Denied saving Web Part properties

Question

Hi,

   I am using a Bamboo List RollUp GridVew webpart on a page and its throwing the folllowing error for users with 'Read' permission. These users have 'Contribute' permission on the Site level and 'Read' permssion for the page with this webpart.

Bamboo web parts errors are a generic structure

"GetColumn:::: error mesage"

You will need to raise this issue with Bamboo.

Are you expecting them to change the Web Parts for personal view? If yes, do you have "Allow Editing in Personal View" property checked for this web part?

Can you check if the page is checked out or not?

If you are trying to change the webpart properties, the page needs to be checked out.
