sql login gives error....

When i login into SQL Server 2008 ....With the Correct username and password....it gives me the below error...
A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.) (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)
PLEASE HELP...

Go to your SQL Configuration Manager in Start >> Progroms >> SQL Server
Check that Shared memory and TCPIP are enabled for both the service and the client.

still the Same error comes ...
I am using SQl server Code Name Katmai on a Virtual Machine running server 2008..

Do not you use SQL Server RTM? Can you show us your connection string?
