sql login gives error....

Question

 

When i login into SQL Server 2008 ....With the Correct username and password....it gives me the below error...

A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: Shared Memory Provider, error: 0 - No process is on the other end of the pipe.) (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)

 

PLEASE HELP...

Go to your SQL Configuration Manager in Start >> Progroms >> SQL Server

Check that Shared memory and TCPIP are enabled for both the service and the client.

I am using SQl server Code Name Katmai on a Virtual Machine running server 2008..

i do not know but my login form does not show SQL server 2008 but it shows Sql server KATMAI.....

hey got sql server configure manager and set netweork configuration protocols and Client Protocols to TCP/IP and Named Pipe
