Help IIS cannot start after install Visual Studio and SQL 2005 Express in XP Pro

Question

 I have installed VS.NET 2005 , SQL 2005 Express , Dot net framework 2.0 SDK ... then my IIS cannot start go to inetmgr i see Default Web Site(Stopping) click right mouse button to start then i have an error "the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" i think World Web Service Publishing didnot start after run services.msc i see i know i was right but when i start it i have another msg
"Could not start the World Wide Web Publishing service on Local Computer"
"Error 1717 : The interface is unknown"
Plz help me thank for leave comment 
PS : before that i haven't installed Dot net framework with any version and my IIS v5.1 working fine

In Administrative tools---> services---> check World wide Web Publishing is started, if stopped then Start it else restart it once angain and see. 

If not working then also uninstall the IIS and reinstall it. it will surely work

Hi - I have the same problem - but even after un-installing IIS - and then re-installing, it gives me the same issue - the World Wide Web Publishing service will not start.

Hi,

 

check if your event log service is started, i had the same problem until i found out i had deactivated my event log... i started it and the IIS worked perfectly afterwards.

Hey Broooooooooooooo............................ just i wanna Thank you... because im taking a Course and i need to Use My IIS but the stopped problem faced me.... and since 1 Week i'm trying to fix it... and i was despert, and disappointed...
