Run a script after addition or deletion of a domain

Question

Is there a method to run a script or batch file, or something after adding a domain to or deleting a domain from a package?  I need to provision services on a remote system for each domain in WSP but it doesn't necessarily require a whole server module.

As an example, a Linux control panel we use will run a custom shell script after adding or deleting a domain if that script exists.
