Manually Create & Assign Build to Test Plan w/o Team Foundation Build Server

Question

Is there a way to manually create & assign a Build to a Test Plan without using a Team Foundation Build Server?

Our developers are using non-Microsoft source control & build software and we would like to use MTLM for testing.

BTW, we're using Team Foundation Server 2010 Beta 2.

I found this MSDN blog post:

However, the author said the code won't work in Beta 1 or 2.

Jason is referring to beta 1 and 2 of VS 2008. This code should work fine in any version of VS 2010. Thanks, -JP
