SQL Server 2005 Express Installation Error:2147749890

Question

I'm trying to install SQL Server 2005 Express edition on a client's computer. It's just the standard download from the microsoft website.

During the installation stage an error is thrown:

TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Setup

The SQL Server System Configuration Checker cannot be executed due to WMI configuration on the machine OLEK-65IPF2KK89 Error:2147749890 (0x80041002).

I've searched the net and I can't seem to find a solution for this problem. I have a feeling it could be something to do with their WMI configuration, but I can't be sure.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what this error could mean?
