People search not working

Hi - I've followed all the steps in the blog by Corey Roth -
still all I'm getting is 404 -
any ideas anyone?
The ser vices are all running, the sps3 url is in the content source - I didi a full crawl and it picked up about 9,000 new items when i added it which is the size of the user profile import. User profile imports running fine - I'm currently running a full import to see if that helps
Interesteing thing is that it's working on the Dev farm which is consuming from the same AD though i can't get the profile import to work on the dev farm though it does work on production
Cheers

Hi,
Please elaborate your problem a bit more. What is your farm configuration and what exactly you are trying to do when you are getting 404?
Thanks, Soumya | MCITP, SharePoint 2010

Hi
The farm is SP2010 SP1
2 x WBEs and 2 X WFEs
I'm on a client machine and I open Mysites profile page
I go to people search and type in a colleagues name
I get "The webpage cannot be found - http 404"
In IIS logs I am seeing a 302
In ULS logs I am seeing
Unknown SPrequest error occured
Setup:
- User Profile import running fine - Forefront services started and user profile services running
- Crawl running fine - content source using sps3://portal and sps3://mysite
- permissions for content access account in web apps (user policy) and in user profile SA (admin - retrieve people data for search crawlers
Any idea as to what's going on much appreciated
Cheers

Is the same issue of this other thread? http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepoint2010setup/thread/ace53c1f-a8fa-425e-9397-97675c9ccb27

Yes it is - I discovered how to resolve the issue by creating an Ent search centre and pointing mysites at it as the preferred search centre but that opened a new question as to whether this was expected behaviour so I created anew thread
