Module for a search and design solution

Question

Hey,

I have a design solution for SharePoint 2010. In this solution I use 2 modules. One for the normal masterpage and on for the search masterpage. The serachcenter is a subsite in one sitecollection.

But I like to use the solution in all sitecollection in the farm. Is it better to create 2 design solutions with and without a search module (and feature)? Or is there a better way?

My goal is to have a design solution,  that I can install in all web application.

Hi Stefan3110,

I have seen a similar issue from you, for this issue, based on my understanding, you may consider installing the features in one solution, and choose not to activate features in it when deploying the solution, then activate the features in UI if needed after solution deployment.
