Publishing pages question

Hello,

Can some one please tell me how can I add a MailTo field in the publishing page layout..All I need is for some person to enter the mail address  in the field and it should be displayed as a mailto hyperlink on the display page.

Just create a new site collection content type derived from any Publishing page content type.

And the add this content type to your pages library.

Thanks for the reply but that was not my question..I know how to add the content type and the publishing page..what i was asking was how to create a field which behaves as a mailto link on the page..so if someone enter [e-mail] it should be displayed as a mailto link when the page is displayed.

Are you looking for a field type that automatically adds mailto: to prior its content ?
