Hiding custom tasks classes.

Question

I want to make an add-in that involves a customized class of tasks which are an extension of the standard outlook tasks. However, I only want this custom tasks to only be viewable within my addin, meaning, wherever tasks normally go these would not show up. They can only be worked with within the add in's pane. Is this possible?
