How to start grounding for the architecture role?

I would like to change to an architect role from developer. I am having 5 year of experience in developing the application using MS Technology.  So need information on the same.

I think five year is not good enough for approaching this role but right time to getting started 

I will give you three links that will lead you forward it will take at least 1-2 years to dedicated knowledge base building (links are in reading order)
