Bug: Windows LIve Photo Gallery does not tag photo files

Question

Having searched for a very long time I cannot find out how to report a bug in WLPG, so am posting here in case someone relevant sees it, or someone who knows how to post bugs.

WLPG 2011, Windows 7. Photos in mix of public picture library and 'my pictures'.

WLPG does not write tags to all of the jpg files, in fact a very few percent. I cannot work out when/how to make it write tags. For example I added a whole new folder of jpgs yesterday, tagged them, and after waiting for everying to go quiescent I checked the files themselves in Windows Explorere, and none of them were tagged.

Every time it starts up the little pencil icon appears and it says 'n updates remaining' or whatever the text is, for a long time while it counts down to 0. n starts at what appears to be the total number of images in the gallery.

It does not appear to be adding the meta data to any files. When I restart WLPG it does the whole process again.

I have run SysInternals ProcessMonitor and it is indeed accessing and performing file writes, but what I do not know since nothing appears to change in the files.

Anyone seen this before? Anyone know what to do about it?
