    Hello everybody
I have a problem. I just installed w7 rc (7100) and when i tried to install VS 2008 it doesn't.

If I try to launch: autorun.exe it doesn't start.
After i start setup.exe and click Install VS2008, it waits a little and dissapears without starting to effectively install it. No error just disapearing.

I tryed this on 7100 version and 7260 version.

    Any clues?

    Thanks in advance

LE: the same things if i try to run the .NET 3.5 SP1 setup.

Oh yes. The issue was the following.
1)I had an .iso file with VS2008
    2) I used UltraIso for mounting the image
    3) it didn't work.
    4) I installed PowerIso
    5) Mounted that second time, and worked.
5a) If i try to copy the setup files on the HDD it works

So the Solution: Use PowerIso Until Daemon Tools gets fixed(the official one, not other cracks)

Did you try running it as Administrator ? Right Click and Select.

    Also try in Compatibility mode.

When I installed vs2010 beta on build 7100, it showed me 'This program has compatibility issues' dialog for SQL Server 2008 Express..

    Thanks

    Hi TimoteiDolean,

Please try Omie's suggestions to run installer with Administrator privilege.

More clarification with you. Did you install VS2008 from CD/DVD media or HDD? When did VS2008 installation UI disappear during the installation? Do you mean that you could not see any installation UI after you started setup.exe and clicked Install VS2008? Will this situation happen when you install other software?

    Thanks
