Hi - I'm interested in using SSDS as a data source for SSRS reports. I am not sure if this is realistic for my application as I suspect there will be huge time delays. Has anyone successfully devised a means to run a SSRS report off a SSDS data source?
    Thanks

    Greg,

I have done some work running SSRS reports off of a SSDS datasource. I got an early drop of an SSRS SSDS Adaptor from one of the guys on the SSRS team. The adaptor is not ready for primetime yet, but to be honest, it runs pretty fast.

Hook me up with your dealer and I'll run it. I skimmed the 100 pg starter manual for SSDS and I get the concepts. I see great utility in the system. Perhaps I can be helpful in being a real-world user of the adaptor. I have been a faithful proponent of Katmai and Dundas is a coup.

Is there a reason why the query syntax isn't LINQ? At first blush it seems reinventing the wheel not to use LINQ (though onviously it's early to support much syntax).

Radical. We all need reasons to change the direction of computing, this is changing it. In the real world they're sitting around trying to virtualize machines now, to do things they could outsource to pros who would do it cheaper and better with more uptime.

SSDS for SQL 2008 SSRS - It's here. This is BIG news I stumbled on from an anonymous-looking hyperlink in Redmond Dev Magazine. Hello SQL Server Magazine, you should cover this.
