HI
We have Transactional replication setup. If i have 3 columns in published table (A,B &C) and five columns in subscribed table (A, B, C D& E). We plan to replicate A, B and C and update D & E via a SQL Job logic.
1.) is it possible to have this kind of setup ?
2.) What precautions i would need to consider for maintaining the replication in future ?
Any suggestions please. Thanks in advance.

If you set up replication and apply a snapshot, it will drop and recreate your table in your subscriber and you will lose those additional columns. You can always add columns afterwards but you need to be aware any reinitialization in the future will drop those columns and you would lose that data. I would recommend seperating out the non replicated data from the replicated data
