    Hi,
I have a Internet facing sharepoint site and on that site I have a contact us subsite (for simplicty i will be calling it a page going forward). This page for some reason doesnt get indexed by sharepoint. the crawl log says it has a no-index attibute.

when i view source on the site i see a robots meta tag that says nohtmlindex. my other sites dont have this tag. it comes from the sharepoint robots tag in the masterpage. (<SharePoint:RobotsMetaTag runat="server"/>

Can any one explain what this tag does?

Update The NOHTMLINDEX tag is added to every page where I have used a dataviewwebpart. So i have detached the page from the layout, added the dataview webpart, then reattached the layout. all these pages have nohtmlindex. But i have two sites. on the one site, the pages with nohtmlindex are being searched. on the other site, the pages with nohtmlindex are not being searched. ???
