Do you know where I can check what type of authentication I am currently using?
I'm not sure if I'm using claims based or classic?
thanks

When you open the SharePoint site if you see the windows log in dialog or Custom made form to get user name and password for authentication then your SharePoint Web Application use the Windows authentication (Claim based Authentication)
