How excel extension mechanism works?

I'm confused by extension mechanism concept. I found examples in various documentation papers on this topic, but it's still mystified to me.
To be specific, I'm trying to export sparklines to MS Excel. I found xsd schemas to cover that concept and generated C++ code to use in application from it, but I'm not sure how to link sparkline data structure with existing data structures, in particular with worksheet extLst element.
My question is:
How to successfully link some some extension concept (like sparklines) with some other concept that have extLst element (like worksheet)?
Thanks in advance

Hi Pablo,
Thank you for your patience. I’m not sure what your question is; please keep in mind that the purpose of this forum is to support the Open Specifications documentation. You can read about the Microsoft Open Specifications program here, http://www.microsoft.com/openspecifications/en/us/default.aspx
If you think your problem belongs here, please be more specific in your question, refer to which document and to which section your question is related, this might include ISO standards, too. Please describe what your goal is, what you are doing in details, what are you doing when “I'm trying to export sparklines to MS Excel”, an example would be helpful. If you want to send a file, send it as attachment to ‘dochelp (at) microsoft (dot) com’ and in the e-mail indicate that it is for me.
You can create an Excel spreadsheet with different kind of sparklines and using an xml editor to view the relevant part to check how the sparklineGroups looks; you can find it in the “xl\worksheets\sheet1.xml” part.
Perhaps your question rather belongs to another forum, e.g.:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-us/excel/threadsThanks, Vilmos
