How do I create a second Office Live Small Business account?
How do I create a second Office Live Small Business account?
I have created a website! So far so good.
Now I wish to create an additional site, designed for a different purpose. So using my existing Office Live account I purchased the domain name for the second site.
Again, so far so good. The new domain name is listed as secondary. That's fine--all I have is the domain name at this point.
So now I want to get to work designing the second site. I see a link in the Page Manager to Create a Website, but when I click it, it opens the website I have already created. That's not what I want to do. Instead, I want to create a whole new site under the second domain name that I just purchased (and which is now activated, btw).
Now, when I open my Domain Manager I do see the following instruction:
"Create another siteIf your business needs are expanding and your current Web site isn't set up to meet those emerging needs, you must create a new Office Live Small Business account to manage a new site."
Okay, fair enough. But I'm not seeing an obvious way to create a new account in order to create a brand new, separate site. It should be simple, I would think. I'm just not seeing how to do it.
I will add that it isn't so much that I don't want to create the new site within the existing one, per se. But I do want for the new site to have its own separate web address. When I'm asked to create a new webpage within my existing site it has me add a URL tag to the main address of the first site I created--again, not what I wish to do!
Instructions as to how to proceed will be greatly appreciated! Thanks- Editadorogerpeterson sábado, 6 de junho de 2009 15:13

- You can't do that I'm affraid.
I've tried.
In the end you have to create a seperate email account and then create your new site using the new email account.
The next annoying thing is you have t deactivate your new domain from your current site.
wait at least 3 months then register the domain with your new email account.
Below is the information given to me by Microsoft Office Live Support in Feb 2009.
"I understand that you want to cancel the domain 123xyz.com from your Microsoft Office Live account. You also want to know if you can use this domain on another Microsoft Office Live account. I realize the importance of your concern and I will provide you with the relevant information.
I have checked in our records and found that you have cancelled the domain 123xyz.com from your Microsoft Office Live account on 01/27/2009. Please note that it will take 90 days from the date of cancellation for the domain to be removed from Microsoft Office Live servers. After this period, you can re-delegate this domain on another Microsoft Office Live account. For this, you do not need to cancel your entire Microsoft Office Live account.
