Allgemeine Diskussion Career Move from .Net to WebFocus

    Hello Friends,

    My apology for asking this question under this Forum, I thought people who have experience upto Architecture level will be able to help me to decide over it.

    I am right now in .net platform since last 5 years, I have given an opportunity to move to WebFocus. I am not able to decide whether it is a good decision to choose WebFocus as my career or not, It is a little urgent. I will be glad if you can provide suggessions to help me to reach to decision.

    I think this depends on what the job opportunities where you live
    involve. If a lot involve WebFocus, then that might be the way to go,
    but since you already have a background in .Net, it may be worthwhile to
    move into the Microsoft BI solution that involves SQL Server Analysis
    Services, Reporting Services, and Integration Services. Hope this helps.

    Greetings,

    One simple rule , learn and adapt to the software technoloiges which your company expects that meets the functional and business requirment given by the software client. Your career growth should be inclined with business objective of your company. Simply learning a new software which your company does not expects is not use to you at all.

    At the end of the day, it the company who pay your salary which for your software sevices.
