Can't fine SSIS 2005 download
- I'm looking for a way to download SSIS 2005. I have SQL Server 2005 Express, Reporting Services, VS 2005 with Bus Intelligence and would like to use SSIS. This is all for a POC that will be deployed on our SQL Server 2005 farm. Question, if there is way to download or otherwise acquire SSIS 2005 why doesn't search even give me a hint. Sorry, I'm very frustrated.

Here's what I found:
Live search: 2nd result is the download
http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=ssis+2005+download&form=QBRE
Google: 1st result is download
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=ssis+2005+download&aq=f&oq=
MSDN Search: 1st result is download; 'SSIS 2005 download' is one of autocomplete terms
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Search/en-US/?query=ssis%202005%20download&ac=1
It is interesting since we're powered by Live search.

- What is "SSIS" ?You'd be better off (if this is something to do with SQL Server) asking in a SQL Server forum.Post here:and ask them which forum would be the place to ask your question.(Perhaps when you do you would spell out what SSIS stands for !)

http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Search/en-US/?query=ssis%202005%20download&ac=2 ... and there was I thinking that for a search to work I'd need to have the correct name.
It strikes me as odd that the search "ssis 2005 download" wasn't tried by the OP (who wrote "why doesn't search even give me a hint").
To check the theory out that he tried searching Live or Google and not social.msdn.microsoft.com I tried those with the same search string.Live Search was in fact pretty useless with nothing decent on the first page.
Google was better but even that had links to training for SSIS and something else connected with SSIS rather than to a download for ssis itself.
Interesting. (Especially that Live Search isn't providing the goods and social.msdn.microsoft.com is. It's usually (?) the other way around)

- Thanks for you help. I ended up just installing SQL Server (not Express) with SSIS.
- I'm searching for the same SSIS 2005.... the links you mention reveal documentation and some online training, but not downloads.
Turns out there is no download, it is something that has to be purchased.
