CreateObject("Outlook.Application") fails in 2010

    Question

  • This worked fine in 2007 but now in 2010 I get

error: 429 ActiveX component can't create object

    and yes Outlook is running.

Does anyone else have this issue or a solution?

  • Yes to the trusted location. So if you aren't getting the same problem then I'll start looking for other causes.

  • I've tested on another PC running Win7 / Office 2010 and it works fine.

On my PC running XP / 2010 I get this error.

I've turned off the firewall and still get the error.

I've set Macro security to disabled.

    Any other suggestions?
