Charts are missing in PowerView for Excel

    Question

  • I'm new with PowerView for Excel and need help. My ultimate goal is to upload this PowerView to Power BI.

    So I have excel table with Person, Project, Country etc.

    When I click Insert->PowerView, I get PowerView.

    I see "Table" and "Map" enabled under Design Tab, but Bar Charts, Column Charts, Other Charts are disabled. Why???

    Tables, Matrix and Map is working fine, but I need charts.

  • If your source data does not contain any aggregated numbers , you can't convert it to a chart. So all the chart icons will be disabled on the Design tab.
