table update

    Question

  • i have a table that has three fields.  fields are box#, shipped date, Shipment completed.  in the table the shipped date field is empty for some rows.  what i want to do is a few days after the new rows run a query to update the empty rows in the shipped date field with the current date.

    when more records are added the shipped date is empty a few days later  want to run the query to update just the empty rows with the current date and leave the old dates in place.

    thanks

Answers

  • You can run a query with the following SQL:

    UPDATE [Name of your table]
    SET [Shipped Date]=Date()
    WHERE [Shipped Date] Is Null;

    Substitute the actual name of your table in [Name of your table]
